Drawing inspiration from stories in Hindu mythology, the film follows Shiva (Kapoor), an orphan with pyrokinetic powers who discovers that he is an astra, a weapon of enormous energy. He attempts to prevent the strongest of the Astras, the Brahmastra, from falling into the hands of dark forces that connect to his history.
Shiva, a disc jockey, learns about his strange connection with fire and also holds the power to awaken the Brahmastra, a supernatural weapon that is said to be able to destroy the universe, capable of destroying creation and vanquishing all beings. On the other hand, Junoon, the queen of dark forces is also on a quest to get hold of the Brahmastra. The Brahmastra was awakened long ago by Dev, a star pupil of the Brahmans a secret school training people to wield and channel the Astras for greater good.
Dev was the only one who managed to control multiple Astras. However, when the Brahmastra came to life, it had the power the destroy the universe. Blinded by the greed for power Dev continued his use of the Astra risking all life. Dev’s lover Amrita was the only one who could stop him. She defeats Dev in a battle on a remote island, where both of them perish in the end.
